Questions to ask a clinic
Answer three short questions and we build a list of questions to take to the clinic, so you get the facts that matter to you on the first visit.
How we calculated this
We always include the five questions every clinic should answer, whatever your situation.
We add one block of questions for the medication you pick, or both methadone and buprenorphine blocks when you are not sure yet.
We add a block for telehealth or pharmacy dosing when you pick that setting, a take-home block when you tick the box, and a first-visit block when you tick that one.
The list asks for facts. It never recommends a medication or a service: that choice belongs to you and a clinician.

This checklist asks for facts. It is not medical advice, and it never recommends a medication.
Questions
- Should I ask all of these on the first call?
- Ask the practical ones first: hours, intake, waiting time. Keep the rest for the visit.
- What if the clinic cannot answer a question?
- Ask who can, and when. A good service always names the next step.
